That probably explains the wiring in my 1979 930.... screw terminals, last
minute wiring changes and a CDI
box hooked up to the wiper fuse!

I suspect they ended up their days at Chrysler designing the #$%#$& combined
distributor/crank sensor
on the LT-1 motors (optispark), placed nicely between the water pump and
block!
