boost guage questions

Well, I'm not a turbo guy, but...

That's five pounds per square inch *under* a total vacuum.  Meaning,
there is something wrong with the gauge... unless you have antimatter
idle stabilization or something.  What does it read when the key is on
but the engine is not running?  (should be zero, or about 15 psi
absolute)  It might just need some sort of calibration.
