http://www.airpartsonline.com/default.tpl gives capacaties for AC systems.
35oz is correct for r12. If you jump to a later year you find the r134
systems used 25oz.

Hello
I am dying here! I have a 1988 quattro model 90 and have just replaced a A/C
hose on the system now I got it filled with 134a about 35oz worth and the
compressor will not cycle on, I can jump te compressor with 12v and it will
come on and the A/C will blow cold but it will not cut in with the A/C
switch, I have checked the A/C switch(took it apart) and it seems fine so
what could this be??
Dying from the heat in NC - Obin Olson
thanks for the help
also could this be the low pressure switch gone bad?? if so I can't find
it!! I have the Bently and still I can't find the low side switch!
help!
;)
