S2 steering wheel on CGT?

The type89 and type85 wheels are not bolt in swappable. But Ive been told type 89 and type 44 are the same. Can anybody confirm?

Well, I'm already ising a type44 steering wheel (5000), I got a great deal on a leather 5000 wheel of E-bay, and all I had to do was pop my CGT hub out of my stock wheel and swap it onto the 5000 wheel. So,m I should be able to just do another hub swap.

But if for some reason that doesn't work there are other options. I know a UrQ owner who has on on his car, he said he jsut had the hub that came with the wheel machined to fit. Said it cost $25 and fit perfectly. The final option is a universal hub. The Audi wheel uses the same 6-bolt pattern as most aftermarket steering wheels.
