Other similar '84-86 4kq cars sold in past year similar - good/not
great overall condition, ran well, 150k mi. +/- 30k mi sold in $2k
price range. Private owner, not a dealer. Several new owners have
traveled close to 1000 miles to obtain their new purchase.
That said, you can get a beater for $500-1000 and then pump 2 grand or
so in parts and labor to get into OK condition. The blue book values
typically reflect the latter.
Have the insurance company locate you a car that is in as good of
condition as yours was.

Hi all:
Once again the insurance conundrum raises its head: they say car is
worth
$0.50, I say car is worth more. If anyone in the Seattle area has recent
pricing, advertising, etc for an =9286 4kcsq, (pictures a plus!!),
could you
point me to where it=92s advertised? I=92ll start querying Mr. WWW
shortly,=
but
thought I=92d ask the collective as well.
Thanks again..
Steve
