It's not that high when your clamping to something
with a barb on it. If the hose has a working pressure
of 100 psi, the burst pressure is usually twice that.
I'm pretty sure all the CIS systems aren't above 110
psi or so. Plus 100 psi is not that much force on a
small diameter line anyways. It would be like hanging
a 10lb wieght on the line and letting the clamp hold
it on to the barb. I can plug my 100 psi water
injection system with my finger.
If the fitting is destroyed, you can probably find
comething similar off a CIS car at a junkyard, and
make your own hose. Under all that stainless steel
hose is a nice set of barbs that can be used if the
old hose is carefully cut off. Also, Bosch makes
generic filters with just barbs on the end. I have
one at home that I can grab the part # from if you
need it.
