which model A6 - 2.7t or 4.2

Greetings list members:

I have been off the list for a while, but once again, I find myself going b=
ack to the well to retrieve your valued opinions.

I am considering two options either a 2000 A6 4.2 or a 2.7t.

So I would like your input on which car you would prefer and why.

The 2.7t is attractive because of the 6spd manual, sport seats, and tuning =
potential to be equal to or slightly faster than the 4.2.

The 4.2 is appealing mostly because of the beautiful fender flairs but the =
4=2E2 is an awesome motor right out of the box (300hp/295ft/lb). I am not s=
ure how this car drives compared to a chipped 2.7t (300hp/??ft/lb). So I co=
uld use your input here as well.

As a previous S4Avant owner I have really come to appreciate the tuning pot=
ential and drivability of the 2.7t. Plus having other sporting Audi's (A4q3=
0vAvant, Urq, and 90q20v) I really come to love things like sport seats and=
 manual transmission. So the 2.7t is really a great option. But the 4.2 wit=
h it's muscular fender flares make for a truly beautiful car .
