A6 (2.7t-4.2 ) questions

For the first time since 1994 I am Audi-less. I have been considering eithe=
r and A6 2.7t or a 4.2. Thank you all for the input on the two models. I gu=
ess I am leaning towards the 2.7t. It will just be a matter of finding the =
right model and right price. However I would not be surprised if I end up w=
ith the 4.2 just because there is one available at a good price and I have =
no car right now.
So I have some general questions about some of the specs of the A6 models. =
Can anyone provide me with the USA engine codes for the 2.7t and 4.2? How a=
bout the wheel offsets between the 2.7t, 4.2, S6, and RS6 (looking at wheel=
compatibility)?
Also, I was at the dealer last night and my (supposed) trusted sales person=
was giving me some information about the 4.2's that just didn't make sense=
. He said the 4.2's tend to wear out front tires more (than the 2.7t) from =
scrubbing because the car is heavier. This makes no sense to me. The 4.2 is=
a alloy block. It should be lighter or about the same as the 2.7t? Can any=
one verify the dealers comments?
And now for some hypothetical things, can one obtain RS6 body parts like th=
e rear spoiler and or rocker panels in the USA? If so where?
