The early V6 tensioner is slightly off-set to the passenger side of the
block. If I remember correctly, you need a 10mm allen wrench, and I use
a piece of 2x4 also. I use a small inspection mirror to find the hex
opening in the tensioner and insert the allen wrench so that the long
part of the "L" is a little above horizontal. Then I stick the 2x4 down
in there and push down on the allen wrench and then pop the serpentine
belt off the power steering pulley.
