Did the x,000 mile filter change interval really
come up at a moment's notice?  Like you changed
the oil in the morning, left the house, and surprise,
surprise, later that afternoon realized it was time
to change the oil again?

There are lots of vendors on the parts supplier
list, such as Rod at the Parts Connection,
Blaufergnugen, Carlsen Audi, Claire Parts
Express, and others, that take orders over the
phone and can deliver overnight or 2nd day
if it's really critical.
