When I was partway through rebuilding my MB engine I discovered that the
engine stand didn't allow me enough access to be able to fit a new rear seal
so I lifted the block (fitted with crank and pistons) from the stand and put
it on my bench. Taking the weight was no problem, nor was carrying it to the
bench. The difficult part was lifting the thing another 6" to the worktop.
Not something I wanted to do again too soon.
