KNOCK SENSOR on '88-5KCSTQ

ok... ive had stock knock sensors from both an '84KH motor
and an 89 MC1 and they look identical...
so i doubt there are different ones...
it should be mid block... a 13mm i think hex shaped
thing with a wire going out of it.
it should have a bit of red plastic where the wire begins.

correct... knock sensor... the other two are TDC sensor (black) and rpm
sensor (white)
the knock sensor is the red one...
havent found how to test one in the bently...
but i know there is infinite resistance between all 3 prongs.
im guessing when banged it opens a circuit between prongs
1 and 2. if you are testing it open the back of the connector
at the firewall and test those wires (the wire that the knock
sensor connects to which runs to the ecu.)
the yellow is positive, black is negative and brown is ground.
they should run directly to your ecu so that might be another
easy place to test them.
