Good to be back behind the wheel of an Audi... I have not been able to driv=
e my CommEd CGT since May, because I took it apart for clutch replacement, =
strut mounts, and control arm bushings. Added a 2B tie rod while i was in t=
here with an eye to the future... same reason I used an MC-1 flywheel and 5=
ktq clutch. Re: recent flywheel discussion: Lighter ones make for livelier =
engines, but the heavy MC flywheel on a KX engine: never driven a Coupe wit=
h such a smooth idle!

So, it developed a squeak from the brakes... further inspection noted very =
warm wheels. Seems the 10 weeks off did not have a good effect on the brake=
hydraulics. Sooo... if I'm going to replace the master cylinder (she's get=
ting an MC engine, too, so no abbreviation for clarity), where is the propo=
rtioning valve located? Also, what if any is the difference between an '86 =
CGT MC and a '89 80 MC?
The reason I'm asking: Very good price on an 80 rear axle with disc brakes.=
If that's going in (and I think it is!) then I would like to go directly t=
o installing an MC sized for the 4 wheel disc setup. Thoughts?

Regards,
Rob
