I'm also sorry to hear about the theft, but slightly skeptical. Are you
sure that you can trust this mechanic? If not him, then someone else who
might have had access to your keys from there? I have found my Audis to be
very well protected against theives. On my last one (a 100qa), a theif
tried to force open the locks from all the doors and still failed to get
in. When examining the door internals of my old cgt, it looked very well
protected against "slim-jims" being poked down the side of the window. If
there was no visible signs of entry, then I'd suspect that the keys were
used.
