Hi,

Been there done that.  You need to rotate and push in at the same time.
There is a specialty tool of course but I have been able to do it with a
pair of channel locks with tape on the sharp edges.  Yes, it was a real
frustration the first time I tried it too.  I don't have the tech knowledge
of many on this list but this is one I can help with.
