Ti has a valid point, and if Chris Semple can find
you a used one, I'd go that route.  But since I was
a poor college student myself once, and since you
got the fuel distributor to work once, I'd give it
another shot.

Take it apart carefully, clean gasket surfaces well
(no gouging), maybe use a wee bit of sealant, and
torque things down evenly. And cross your fingers,
hold your breath, and say a prayer to the Audi gods.
