I believe the 88 90q came with 195/60/14 tires, right? If so, TireRack is correct, 205/45/16 is the correct size. It would only have a .2% chance from stock. Your 205/55/16s are 7.2% off. Yes, ti will effect your speedo, with a 7.2% error, when your speedo is showing 60 MPH, you are actually traveling 64.3 MPH.

> List, I just talked with tirerack.com. The guy I talked with says that he is 100% sure that I have the wrong tire on my 16x7.5 with 35mm offset rim, it's a 205/55/16 he says it should be a 205/45/16 and that he is also 80-90% sure that this will stop my fender rubbing on this wheel..does this sound right?
> he says this give the tire a lower sidewall and so it will be reading on the spedo better and it will not rub the fenders and it will also be within spec of the total wheel size for my audi, 1988 90q
