I suspect that with the advent of ATMs, it is much easier
to get local currency at the desintation using the machine.

In the agency's defense (defence), they gave you what
you asked for.  Should they have know that taking a
train *all the way* to the airport was more important
to you than when you get there? Would you have been
happier if they had said, "We can get you there on Friday.
Is that OK?"

I used to fly out of Manchester a lot. I became more
careful about it when one day an agent asked "England?"
No, I was flying out of Manchester NH USA (MHT).
