Avi, a lister,  rebuilds it with improved results.

Also check prices, $350 for an alternator sounds too much.  A 110Amps
alternator should run around $200-220 in places like bimmerparts.com or
thepatsbin.com. It's really simple to replace an alternator, or you can take
the part to your mechanic and pay just for the labor.
