I had this problem too when changing my head gasket a few weeks ago.  I tri=
ed lubing up the old ones but they wouldn't go.  Luckily, the rebuilt head =
that I had bought had new seals still in the injector ports. I cracked the =
old seals off and installed the new ones.  They slid right back in with no =
fuss.  You may want to opt for new seals at this point.  Cheap and easy to =
do.  I think the whole kit to do upper and lower seals is about 15 dollars =
for all 5 injectors.  Good luck!
