Correct placement of wheel weights

Hello List,
    I had a new set of tires installed a couple of weeks ago, and it feels
like I have thrown one or both of my front weights.  The wheels in question
are stock BBS mesh style on a '88 90Q.  The monkey lads tried to put regular
hammer-on weights, I made them do stick-ons.  But they put them in the
center of the rim, and I think that they interfered with the brake calipers
and just peeled right off.  My question is: Where are the weights supposed
to go?

P.S.  Replaced a set of very well beaten Hakkas w/ Falken Azenis Sport, much
better at the auto-x.
