I have 169,000+ miles on my '96 2.8 A4. It has had
miscellaneous front squeaks and clunks for some
time, but tracks true and doesn't wear tires. For the
first time recently, however, I'm getting a little
pulse/shimmy on the brakes, so it's time for some
work.
1. Are bushings likely to do it, or should I think in
terms of replacement of all or some of the control
arms?
2. What else should I be thinking about?
a. The shocks damp well, but must be worn.
b. Sway bar bushings?
c. Rear suspension components?
3. I'd appreciate recommendations for a source for
parts.
Thanks
