CIS Cold start valve excitation?

When testing the CSV I found a nice method was to put
an LED with a resistor across the terminals for a good
visual indicator of when it came on. Note its duration
of operation is only a few seconds at most when
starting and is dependant on coolant temp. It also
comes on briefly during acceleration when cold.
