Yes, they'll interchange.

The older ones tend to break, the newer ones are supposed to be more durable.

There's an emblem on them that indicates they are made by . . . Rockwell! 
(Could just be a coincidence.)

Lube well, make the tool to remove the sunroof springs (coat hangar 
w/hooked end) and have at it.
