The inline 5 is back!

I think many people don't really know about the VR6 style motor. I saw a cutaway at the Miami Auto Show a few weeks ago and first thing I thought was "whats the VW area have an inline 3 cutaway for?". Then I looked closer. There was a second set of 3 cylinders hidden in there. It's not a conventional V, it's only 12 degrees between the banks and the pistons actually overlap a bit between the banks. I have some pictures of the W12 which is just 2 VR6s stuck together where you can see it.

Sorry about the long URL. It's a really cool design.
