t44 clutch pedal weirdness

How old is the clutch slave? Is brake fluid low? The clutch slave, clutch
master and hose connecting them are commonly replaced around the same time,
from what I've read here...hopefully with only one trasmission-area
disassembly. The clutch master and slave use brake fluid, so there wouldn't
ever be central hydraulic fluid on your left foot. Since all they need is a
little brake fluid sip, the clutch isn't affected by the bomb/pump/rack
business which operates from the separate reservoir of central hydraulic fluid.
It's not quite clear below whether you are talking about the *clutch* master
cylinder or the *brake* master cylinder in both sentences?
