throwout bearing question for 4kstq project

Hey Q-list!

Well, the mission creep of my multi-year 4kstq project has gotten to the point that now I am putting in a 3B motor.

(I got a chuckle at the contrast of recent mentioning that listers have "ran out of time" in their projects. I'm not dead yet, and I'm still trying, so I guess I have some time left. =) )

Anyway, I was perusing Timmy's image gallery, and realized I may need to change my clutch fork to match my MC2 throwout bearing.

I know the flywheel and pressure plate changed from MC1 to MC2, but did that change include the fork and T/O bearing? Or was that an MC2 to 3B change? I ask because it looks like Timmy initially got a 3B pilot bearing with his clutch kit.

It doesn't say if he later changed the T/O bearing for a different type.

I'm pretty sure the T/O bearing in the clutch kit I have for this project is the same as the one pictured in these links.

My question is if I'm using a 4kq tranny with this clutch kit, should I match the fork to the bearing or the bearing to the fork? Are there any issues with fitting the T44 fork to the T85 tranny?

It looks like the new fork design is lighter since it's stamped instead of cast.

Chris Semple, if you're reading, how much can I get one of those forks for, if it fits and I need it?

Thanks,

Ken
