Help please, '88 5KCSTQ needs at least 3 hrs rest!

IME and others...  If you have fairly high miles on/or they are original injectors - replace them.  They leakdown and weep and the O-ring seals introduce air. Newer Viton tipped injectors may be better, but still don't know how they will be after 100kmi.  Get this over with before troubleshooting any further - BTDT x 3 or 4 or...

They are not that difficult to change with the injector tool.  It only takes about 30min to methodically remove everything in the way.  no need to pull manifold.

Thanks for your relaying your experiences. Your interpretation of the 
short rest / long-crank problem sounds logical. Did you actually fix the 
problem by change the injectors or can they be cleaned to stop leakage 
via gas additive? I hesitate to try popping them out 
because it looks like one needs to almost take the whole intake manifold 
off to get to them what with all the turbo stuff packed around.
