1.8T vs 2.8 V6

Just a comment on the 1.8T vs. the 2.8 V6 - I owned a 97 A4 1.8TQM for 5
years before it was totaled in a rear end collision.  I loved the car.  The
combination of the 1.8T and the manual transmission was great.  It loved to
rev.  The car was bone stock throughout its life and never burned a drop of
oil.  No complaints.

That said, I would not recommend the 1.8T coupled to a Tiptronic.  Too much
drive train inefficiency.
