Same thoughts, holding the heat in is good for
performance, bad for parts.  Plus now you have
bearings right next to your well insulated glowing hot
side.  KKK turbo's have a higher nickel content than
most so they hold up to heat better, but it's still
only a matter of time.  I've also had one of those in
my hands and didn't use it.  I think if you are really
set on reducing underhood temps, get the inside of the
EM ceramic coated, and coat the IM.  Just be sure to
use a reputable place because you don't want that
coating coming off and getting into your turbo.  


Bottom line, I just ended up putting in hood vents to
get some of the heat out, and will probably have the
IM coated some day.
