I don't know about crazy, but certainly imbalanced. Last week I received an
email from a guy with a 85 Ur-q with an electrical problem - some of the
wires near the wiper switch were burned.
As he lives a mile from where I work I took a look. Bit more than 'some',
looks to me as if the supply to the light dip/flash switch shorted out and
has melted all the way back to the fuse box, taking the insulation from
quite few other wires with it. Little chance of finding a replacement loom
in reasonable condition without paying a fortune so it's now on my living
room floor beside a loom from a 86 CGT and I'm playing 'hunt the wire'.
The Ur-q has digi-dash, computer, ABS and auto-check (with voice) and the
CGT doesn't.
I'm working slowly, checking, double checking and then checking again before
I do anything.
I really wouldn't like to be starting from scratch.
