Transmission leaking condition.

Hello All.
     I'm up to purchase an everyday driver for  me while I seriously build my 
89' Audi 200 TQ sedan and my 84' Audi 4000 SQ. It's an 89 audi 90 automatic. 
Seems to be in very good condition but there is one bit of a problem the 
transmission leaks as the owner says and it shifts fine and such but I have to keep 
refilling the tranny as advised. Has anyone encountered this situation?? 
Could this just be the transmission pan and or gasket. Are there anything seals 
wise that can go aswell?? Other than that this car is almost flawless. Please 
advise...
