It sounds to me like someone has a V8Q engine they want to unload on you . . .

This is going to be a HUGE job, and you'll need all kinds of stuff. You
really should start with a complete V8Q car, because there are about a
bazillion black boxes, sensors, wires and other doo-dads needed to even
make the engine start. Then you'll have to adapt the tranny to the engine.
I note you say the car it is going into is a 4000q, which means manual
transmission - so you'll need a flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, etc.,
for a V8 engine, and those are hard to get and expensive. I'm also not sure
the 4K transmission bolts up, although I think the very late 5K might.

If you have a 4000 automatic, the V8 engine will absolutely explode it the
instant it fires up for the first time - but this won't be a problem
because the itty bitty 4K slushbox won't bolt to the V8 engine anyway.

The V8 engine is rather heavier than the 5-banger on the 4Q and *much*
heavier than the 4 cylinder on the 4K.

There *are* some listers putting 3.6 V8s into UR-Qs, but it is a big, big,
cost no object job.

Sorry, but new and different hoses are the absolute very least of your
problems.

Have you sourced an engine yet? have you *heard* it run? Does it need a
timing belt? (answer - "yes")

I'm not trying to knock either you or the idea, but when I hear "am I going
to need more than a few hoses?", I really have to shake my head sadly and
say, "Yes, you probably are . . . "

V8Q, 5KS, 5KQT, lotsa trick motorcycles, and an airplane . . . and yes,
I've done a few engine swaps, and NONE of them are easy, fast or cheap.
