So you found the vent attachement to the tank?

Basically, the simplest set up for the vent is from the tank to the
gravity valve (closes if car is flipped...), via the long whitish (or
clear?) plastic line to the charcoal canister. There is usually some
PCV interference in this connection, to draw fumes fromt the CC and the
tank into the combustion process.
Of course, you may have a leak elsewhere... old fuel lines are prone to
pinholing under the rubber fittings that secure them, for instance.
