I hit a pothole...

And not just any pothole.  After an instant flat, i got out and looked at it.  I felt like i was looking into the bottomless pit, or that if i jumped in i would somehow end up in china.  This thing was seriously deep.  9 inches deep to be exact.  I don't know if it affected my alignment or not, but i sure as hell felt the bottom of my car grinding on the concrete.

And this was on a main road pulling out of a fast food restaurant, hidden oh so secretly underneath an innocent little puddle.  I don't know about here, but do any cities re-imburse damage done to cars by these?  I know they will pay for windshields if a rock comes off the street and cracks it.

Either way, the local roads dept. will surely be hearing from me at 8 am sharp tomorrow.
