Forward engine oil leak

It could be that seal, but other likely culprits are some of the oil 
pump bolts that go through the timing belt cover, and also (if the 
engine has one) the oil temp sender in the bottom of the oil pump.

It could also be the cam seal, oil from there could get tot he bottom 
before you see it.

Try cleaning it very carefully and then watching it to see if that helps 
locate the leak.
