Stupid K-Jetronic question...

Hi!
I've no need for my K-Jetronic anymore and someone called me today with
interest in buying it from me. This K-Jetronic is from a 1989 Audi 200
(european) and has the lambda valve on the metering head.
I just wanted to find out if it is possible to run a 5-cylinder metering
head without the lambda valve wired up to anything and with one of the
injector lines on the metering blocked off.
It sounds really stupid, but this guy wants to run a 2-litre 16-valve VW
engine with this thing on it.
I recall people using 6-cylinder metering heads with one of the lines
blocked off.
To me, it doesn't quite sound right. Anyone know why one should not be
able to do this?
Thanks. :)
G.
