Cruise on 100q

check the linkage between the vacuum bubble and the throttle. My '90 100 had a little plastic disc break there, causing the symptoms you describe. Also, maybe the rubber bubble leaks!

I am a new member but a long time audi owner and enthusiast.  I just purchased a 89 100q and I am beginning trying to take it from good to great.  First on the agenda is getting the cruise control working:  it is totally inop.  I have searched the archives, but not found any troubleshooting procedures.   Can anyone post troubleshooting procedures?  I have no idea where to start, and could really use some help.  I promise to bring this car back to perfection with your help.  :)  Any help greatly appreciated.
