So finally!

 Finally I rolled the '85 quattro out of the garage. Its been sitting there so
long that it had at least a milimeter of dirt and dust on it. My daughter had
long ago wrote in the film of dirt "Drive me", "Wash me" and something like "I
love Drew" - her boyfriend.
 My son and I rolled her out, put her on stands pressure washed her. I have to
replace a rear diff seal so we got that area nice and clean. I cleaned around
the brake pressure regulator (proportioning valve) and replaced that yesterday.
I still need to bleed the brake system today. I'm picking up a new battery for
her today as well.
 I'm going to change the oil and air fliter as well then get her smoged and
registered.
 There is a pile of stuff to do though. Something clunks in the front end when
turning the steering wheel and I suspect its one of the struts moving around
but could be a ball joint I suppose as well.
 She needs struts, tires and a new exhaust to get back on the road as well.
Longer term, new front air damn, front and rear bumper convers. New paint too.
New speedometer (several years ago when I last checked there was only one in
all of North America), passenger side door panel and the seats need to be
recovered.
 So there is a long road a head for the quattro but my son and I have committed
to fixing her up together.
