Hello all...

>>2. A mini-mag lite is the perfect diameter for a clutch alignment tool,
and works pretty good as a flashlight too.

I'd like to second that idea and also add that the mini-maglite is also a
great tool for doing the "hydraulic method" of pilot bearing removal in the
MC 5ktq crank (and most likely other engines as well). I was skeptical at
first reading the archives about the procedure, but I've done it twice now
and it's worked perfectly both times.

I used an old maglite that was essentially ruined anyways (corrosion on the
inside) that I had removed the glass from first. I just packed the hole in
the crank around the pilot bearing with wheel bearing grease, inserted the
end of the maglite into it, then smacked it sharply with the poly hammer.
It seemed to take a few smacks to fully pack the grease into the bearing and
crank, but after that, one good smack and the bearing came out right onto
the maglight end. No damage to the crank or bearings. It really wasn't all
that messy either...

Good luck on the swap...
