If you're sure that it's the top bearing, I would say that it could probably
be 3 things:
1. Not the correct torque (I use the impact to remove, but the open cut socket
to torque it)
2. The bearing pop out of the rubber casing and went side ways (btdt)?
3. The bearing is actually shot. Did you replace them? That would be the right
moment.
