Hey guys,
Just got my V8 on Sat. Pearl/Nautica with 76k on the ODO, and here is
the first problem I have noticed. It has stalled on me four times while
at rest or coming to rest. Three out of the four times it was when I was
backing into my parking spot. When I shifted into Reverse, the engine
fluttered then died. I noticed that the RPM's dipped below 200 on a few
other occasions when performing the same maneuver. The last time it
stalled when coming to a stop at a red light. Same thing. RPM's wen't
low, engine didn't recover, and it stalled.
It was kind of like when you start the engine when it is cold (<40 deg
F) and you have to baby it because the engine doesn't want to start
right away.
Dad, and I pulled the VAG codes for it and this is what we got:
191- 24 - 77 - 123 - 115 - 121 - 39 - 130 - 255 - 42
There were no fault codes.
The Bently says that a few of the codes are out of the normal range and
the most suspect thing is the ISV.
However, yesterday when we were checking the air filter out, we removed
the air box to check out the Crank case breather hoses, and they look
pretty sketchy.
Which do you think is the likely cause?
