CGT Trunk release

This list is just F'in brilliant! Yup, all I had to do was jam a screwdriver in the slot to hold it to the open position and I was in. The struts were "new" only to me, they were used, bought off a fellow lister. He said they worked fine on his CGT and they sure look to be near perfect. They seem strong enough to pop it only about 1/2 of the time. They seem to hold the lid up OK and they were HARD to compress by hand. Oh, I have the housing at the bottom and shaft at the top (connected to lid). Is that correct? Any thoughts?
