Use and re-use of a modified cam decision

I'm considering to postpone the install of my new engine to the summer, so it
comes a decision:
Should I remove the 272 brand new cam from the new engine (NF), install it on
the current engine (KX), and later put it back in the new engine?
Is there any cons that I'm not seeing?
The only more or less con that I see, is that I have HD valve spring in the
new engine that I won't move into the old one. So, I might need to watch the
revs.
The reason comes with this last race, I kept the revs pretty high most of the
time (top of 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears). It would be nice a little more "omp" on
the top range..
BTW, this "borrowing" will be for only one race, i.e., 120 miles of special
stages (racing) + 220 miles of transit (cruising). Also, the current engine is
in good shape with normal oil consumption and no ignition or fuel issues.
