Data from NorthAmerican FA: Quattro 82 to 87, all the same.
Front: 857 413 031 A
Rear: 857 513 031 B
Data from Norwegian HTML FA: Quattro
Front before F >> 85-D-902 500: 857 413 031
Front after F 85-E-900 001>> 857 413 031 A
Rear: 857 513 031 B
FYI: D is 1983, E is 1984 but the rear suspension style changed at
85-D-900500 (that's exactly 37 cars after mine...). So there is 2000
cars with the new-style (à la 4000Q) rear suspension but the old spec
front shock absorbers. Rear shock is always the same.
Same source but for SPORTQUATTRO
Front: 859 413 031
Rear: 859 513 031
I guess many of us will want these, just to say we have some
SportQuattro parts on our ride...

83 urQ, no SportQuattro parts yet.

Jim,

The part number did change at some point in 1983 or so....
I don't have the part numbers in front of me but I am 100% sure they did
(at least the prefix).
Not to say that it may just be a clerical change, and yes dimentionally
the shock inserts did not change.
Also the early BOGE were orange and later were grey in my experience.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
