Wheel Suspension Overhaul

I have an '88 80q that I simply don't want to part with. The major problem
that I have (today) is that apparently the wheel suspension has very bad
bushings, or something. With 185,000 mi. on the car, the wheels on one side
both have excessive play when applying pressure at the front and rear of the
suspended wheels. Both front tires have very excessive wear on the insides,
and the car actually feels "loose" on the highway, in addition to a fair
amount of vibration.

Can anyone provide me with ball park costs if I replace all of the necessary
parts myself, versus if I have them replaced commercially? I recognize that
I may have to take some parts to a machine shop to have bushings pressed
out/in.

TIA
