Problems running ETKA on Windows 2000

I never had a problem with ETKA on Windows 98 and then when I started using
Windows 2000, it wouldn't run. I had version 5.3. Recently, I bought
ETKA 6.03--the latest version--on ebay. It seemed to install fine, but
when I try to run it, I get the same message 'Hardlock Not Present!' Code
304.' I tried manually installing the hardlock.exe file, per instructions,
and manually installing the two drivers that the seller recommended. Still
no luck. I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it. All to no avail.

Is there a trick to installing on Windows 2000 that I'm missing? (I tried
on both my notebook, and my machine at work, with exactly the same
result). I set the resolution to 1280 x 1024, got off my network, etc.

Have any of you gone through this? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Jim
