Also confused about synthetic gear oil

I've got Mobile-1 75w90 in mine, and haven't noticed a cold issue in two
nights below zero- *BUT*  I recently saw a discussion about GL-5 oils not
being suitable for t44 transmissions. Do I need to change this stuff right
away to avoid risking damage?
