The formula is real easy; 235/liters = US mpg
Or, obviously, 235/US mpg = liters/100 km.

In Dave's example: 10 liters/100 km is 23.5 mpg.

But since Dave and I are living in Canada, 23.5 mpg (US) is 28.2 mpg
(imperial gallon)!

Conclusion: Move to Canada and your mileage will improve 20%.

83 urQ, not even close to 10L/100km.

For those who feel like doing the conversion...

I consistantly get 10L per 100km out of my 1989 90 quattro, I5 10V.
That's with premium fuel (93 oct?). Car has 330,000km as of yesterday.

If I'm doing _all_ highway driving I've been getting 9.7L/100km to
10L/100km.

All of these numbers are averaged as of Dec 1st 2002 when I started
keeping track again.

I can't wait to find out what I'll get in the summer!!
