Hello all,

Saw the post below about the antenna mast, I had one break on my 4KCSQ.
I took it about and set both ends of the teflon mast on fire, held them
firmly together while they were burning (look for the plastic to be
bubbling) and blew them out. I then ran the "weld" under my faucet for a
second to cool. The result was a bulbous plastic mess in the middle of
the teflon cable. A couple of minutes with an exacto knife shaved off
the excess material. Reassembled antenna, it has worked just fine for
over a year now, and only lost about 1/2 inch of cable while fixing
(which had no affect on the operation of the antenna).

Hope it helps someone,
J. Lyons
